I had been putting off the purchase of an LCD widescreen freeview TV because I imagined that there would be a reduction in picture quality when compared to my Sony 21" crt TV. I was wrong. The only thing is that the horizontal viewing angle is less, and the vertical viewing angle is a lot less if you don't want to get colour fading. But for normal angles it is very good indeed. Everything works as advertised, and it is easy to use. It is also a heck of a lot lighter than the crt version! I'm very glad I made the change, and I was impressed by Amazon's service.

Sony KDL-23B4050 - 23" Widescreen Bravia HD Ready LCD TV - With Freeview
This television is just what I want and am delighted with it apart from one small detail, which is that the EPG is difficult to read, in fact all on screen display is too small to read without going up to the TV. But I have solved this by using my PVR (a Bush) through it and this means I get the excellent highly visable Bush software. I mention tis because to others of my (Bus Pass eligible) age it is a concern. I hope Sony will remember that a large part of the market is over 60!. Other than that it is lovely, with styling which fits against my bookshelves and is elegant. I particularly admire the surround which really would fit in with any decor, like a chameleon. It works fine, the control and handbook are super-duper. I am converted to Sony, and thanks Amazon for super fast delivery on the free supersaver.

I think this T.V. is really great sound vision cant fault it my only problem with it is when useing a P.C. with it, quite a lot of the time I cant get the T.V. to come on in P.C. mode this is really annoying especially if you use it mostly as a P.C. monitor ,the P.P. is really good

After Panasonic LCD failed bought this TV as a Which Best Buy and after reading reviews. Ordered at 9pm on Thursday evening, delivered at 7.30am Saturday for less than 8 extra for delivery. Quality of picture and sound is outstanding. Stylish slim case sits well on cupboard in kitchen and does not dominate the room. My last Sony Trinitron TV was still going strong after 20 years. This one looks as though it might do the same!

I bought mine from a different supplier for about 150 less than Amazon with a 5 year warranty is added, 305 inc vat total. (If I say where, the review won't be posted). I have to say, the set up is SO easy. Picture quality is top notch on freeview and the sound is excellent for such a relatively small unit.
I recently bought a Sony TG3 HD cam-corder and the recorded picture on this set is absolutely amazing.
Bad point is I now want a much bigger brother for the lounge!
This will set not wall mount.
